Put Sum SUMMER In Your Life

I can’t even begin to tell you how ready I am for summer- best time of the year! Over the past couple months all of the design magazines I’ve gotten have featured their summer collections. The trend this year is bright, colorful, clean, happy and AMAZING. Here are some tips on how you can infuse your home and outdoor spaces with summer this year.

Side Note- West Elm killed it this year for summer stuff- definitely check out their website.

Pillows are one of the easiest ways to change up the feel of a space.

I’m loving West Elm’s pillows this season… here are a few of my faves:

Although it can be pricey, art is always a good investment. If you have the budget, look for some art that makes you feel good.

Below are a couple of my picks from Artfully Walls and Minted.

Lanterns are the coolest and they give your space so many summer vibes.

Check out World Market’s huge collection of lanterns– they have a bunch ranging from $2.50-$6.00 each. They also have a great selection of string lights and outdoor lighting as well to help you create looks like this:

Nothing says summer like a lil’ lemonade. Once youu’ve gotten your home all summer’d up invite your friends over for these delicious cocktails!

  • 6 oz. vodka
  • 1 c. mango lemonade
  • 1 c. pink lemonade blended with ½ cup of strawberries
  • 1 c. regular lemonade
  • 1 c. ice

  1. Fill blender with 1/3 of vodka and mango lemonade and ice. Blend and set aside. Repeat 2 more times, first with strawberry/pink lemonade then regular lemonade.
  2. Chill each mixture, and keep each layer chilled until ready to pour in glass. Pour into serving glass in layers starting with mango mix, then strawberry/pink lemonade mix, and lastly regular lemonade.
I hope this post gave you that nostalgic summer feeling and inspired you to make Summer 2017 incredible!

As always, let’s chat in the comment section!
