Hi all! Can you believe we’re already at the end of summer?! I hope you were able to enjoy the outdoors and make some fun memories with your friends and family. My summer has been fantastic. I got away to the beach for a bit, went white water rafting, watched the total solar eclipse (amazing), and had my parents and some friends down from New York for a visit. In the midst of this I also purchased a home and am loving it! I have a bunch of design projects I’ll be starting on the house and will be sharing them on the site as I go!
The world of design is amazing as always so I decided to put together a collection of some things I’m really loving.
The Dixon Collection by Rejuvenation
Rejuvenation is a home store that specializes in period-authentic lighting and hardware. Their parent company is Williams-Sonoma and everything they sell is handcrafted and built to order. I saw this lighting collection in their recent catalogue and fell in love.
These are showing up in a big way in design and I think they’re a welcome change from ordinary towels. The fringe at the end brings in some visual interest and they come in various patterns and colors. You can get these at most home stores and also online.
Light, Wide-Plank Wood Flooring
I’m all about bright, airy spaces and the lighter, wide-plank wood flooring is clean, modern, and looks great with most design styles. The hardwood flooring in my home is currently a dark, cherry tone and I can’t wait to replace it!
